YouTube launched a new feature for mobile applications that will permit users to share videos in a chat-like line with friends and family. The intention of this feature is to keep conversation of videos on the YouTube platform rather than have users head somewhere else to websites such as Twitter and Facebook.
Conversations are integrally private as users can select the friends they want to share it with from their phone’s contacts. There’s also the option of inviting people through links which can be shared on other platforms.
YouTube’s new feature facilitates to chats connecting up to 30 people. Members can then suggest their take on the video over text, emoji, links to other videos or by creating clips of their own.
The feature isn’t new and it has been launched in Canada earlier this year. It is now making its way all over the globe.
Interesting thing is YouTube has introduced a new Shared tab as well that will allow you to keep track of your all conversation. This can be seen at the bottom of the App.
